Product information

Add a little New Year’s fireworks to your Deck with Burst Protocol!
The “Rokkets” are back in Burst Protocol, as well as the brand-new Quick-Play Spell Card Forbidden Crown!

Representing the power struggle between heaven and earth, the “Forbidden” series of Quick-Play Spell Cards has been around since 2009. Forbidden Crown is the sixth card in the series and the one with the most effects (so far)!

As the saying goes: “heavy is the head that wears the crown.”
The monster chosen by Forbidden Crown is subject to all these effects for the rest of the turn:

  • Its effects are negated.

  • It cannot attack.

  • It cannot be destroyed.

  • It is unaffected by card effects – except its own.

  • It cannot be Tributed, or used as Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Material.

  • Finally, no player can activate monster effects in response to the Crown to stop it.

Like all “Forbidden” Quick-Play cards, the Crown can be used on any turn, on any monster, friend or foe, in attack or defense depending on the situation. You can stop opposing monster effects, disrupt their Summoning strategy by rendering a monster unusable as material, or make it indestructible while being stuck in Attack Position to attack their Life Points again and again.

Conversely, you can use it on your own monsters to protect them from opposing effects, from battle destruction, and from being used as material by your opponent.
And since it opens up so many possibilities, it’s an excellent card to Set if you go first, as it will always find a use.

It’s the Crown for all occasions!

And who knows the weight of the Crown better than Darklord Eveningstar? The Darklords are back! Use Darklord Dance to Fusion Summon Eveningstar (or any DARK Fairy) with materials from your hand, field, or Graveyard (you can even use your opponent’s Darklords…) and increase its ATK by 1000.
Darklord Eveningstar sets a “Darklord” Spell and Trap from your Deck when it is Summoned and possesses the classic Darklord power: duplicate the effects of “Darklord” Spells and Traps in your Graveyard before shuffling them back into your Deck for reuse.

It’s the “Rokket” relaunch!
Use the powerful “Borrel” Link Monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS to summon new “Rokket” monsters, inspired by Varis’s strategy in the anime!
You can also add a new “Borrel” Link-5 Monster to your Extra Deck to accompany your powerful Borrelend Dragon! With the right strategy, you might even Summon both of them together!

If you missed Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem, get the latest update to Crowley, called the Gifted Magistus, because Spenta, the Magistus Sealer will debut in Burst Protocol! But that’s not all: the electrifying Fusion Monster Invoked Magistus Omega will also be present in this explosive set!

Mercurium, the Living Quicksilver is a Rank 10 Xyz Monster (Aqua/DARK/ATK 3000/DEF 3000) that attaches a monster from your Deck as Material when Xyz Summoned.
As long as Mercurium has Material, your opponent cannot activate monster effects in their Graveyard if you have a monster of the same Attribute in YOUR Graveyard.
Mercurium must constantly receive new Materials to maintain this effect, but as long as you feed it properly, you will be able to neutralize your opponent’s key strategies!

It’s also time to discover a brand-new World Premiere theme! Scientists have been in their lab tinkering with experiments… with results that might be better left unsaid. What? Scientists with dinosaurs? Well… surely nothing can go wrong… right?

All this and much more awaits you in Burst Protocol!

Burst Protocol contains:

  • 10 Secret Rares

  • 14 Ultra Rares

  • 26 Super Rares

  • 50 Commons

(25 cards available as Starlight Rares!)
